Turning nerds into nerd ballers.
Jeez, I was so excited for GSTL (four-day StarCraft 2 team tournament) to start last night/this morning, and then I tried to get a half hour nap between the code S qualifier selections and the matches and overslept and missed almost everything. I caught the tail end of MarineKing's match, and then it was over. Boohoo, it's bad enough I missed TSL totally thrashing Prime, but I didn't see a guy called Squirtle singlehandedly taking out team fOu? /weeps nerdy bitter tears
Most amusing part of the qualifier selections:
lololol oGsMC, EGIdrA, and NsPGenius all sitting together, they must have reenforced the floor beforehand so it wouldn't collapse under the weight of their egos. (IdrA thinks everyone else is pathetic, Genius thinks he's awesome in a good-natured kind of way, and MC just does not know what self-doubt is.)
Second most amusing part: SlayerS_BoxeR mentioning offhand that some other guys owe him big time because he got Girls Generation to take pictures with them lololol Lim Yo Hwan is the biggest nerd baller of them all.
Third most amusing part: The website said the stream would be entirely in Korean but John the translator was there anyway to translate for IdrA and Jinro, and then at some point he just decided to start translating everything into English. He also referred to Clide as the greatest player, and then started laughing. ("At least according to Artosis...") John can always be relied on to bring enough awesome for the rest of the class.
And unrelated to SC2 over in jdrama land, I am eight episodes deep in JOKER Yurusarezaru Sosakan and tearing my hair out trying to figure everything out while simultaneously valiantly resisting digging up spoilers to put myself out of my misery because this shit is CRAZY. On some level I'm really hoping one of the random underdeveloped supporting characters ends up being behind everything, because I kind of want, like, Kamen Rider Decade to be the unexpected criminal mastermind.
I've gotten in the habit of crocheting while I watch stuff (movies, dramas, anime, StarCraft...) but my upper arms are really sore from carrying stuff up to my room after going home for the weekend so I can't crochet for very long. I... am way too upset about this. =/
