Whistle! volume 12 managed to resist the pull of Father Angst quite valiantly, dancing around the issue without indulging in it. Now that's what I like to see in my shounen manga.
Also, Sho loves the grass. He loves it so much he should just marry it.
Okay it's like the cutest fucking thing I've ever seen. He actually instantly befriends a guy over their mutual love of the grass.
I can't get over how stupidly cute that is. Taki is just so mellow and happy about everything, he is so adorable.
And you know you read too much sports manga when you come up with soccer tactics the characters totally miss because you've seen similar situations in tennis manga.
Shoot it down the centre, right? It's like playing doubles against Momo and Ryoma! Nobody even tries it, though; I was so sure I'd figured out the way to beat them. Nonetheless it makes me feel like I'm learning stuff from manga. It's not impossible!
Anyway I've decided that I'm going to get started on reading FMA soon, either once I've finished Whistle! or got caught up on Nurarihyon no Mago. Ahh, I haven't gone near FMA in so long, it's a funny feeling. ._.
