Bleh, I am so sick of getting no respect just because I read Naruto for a while and intend to get around to picking it up again. Do you have any idea how much truly shitty shoujo manga I've read?! If anything, that's a reason to disrespect me! I don't see why reading a manga about a bright orange ninja automatically makes a person a subhuman waste of space. I mean, I don't get this crap for liking manga about dead people who never die, stretchy pirates, or ridiculously old middle school tennis players who don't obey the laws of physics. /bitchfest (That's not directed at anyone, to be clear; it's just something that's come up multiple times in recent memory and was starting to get to me. Thus, step 1: rant on LJ, step 2: feel better, step 3: profit?)
So anyway I read volume 3 of Ten, which includes the conclusion of the Akagi match. Technically Akagi did lose, but he managed to pull it off with all the trappings of a win. Even Ten was like, "...I don't feel like I won. ._." I just. OMG. I cried and smiled so hard, it was just the best. It was just so Akagi, I can't even describe it. Now the driving conflict of Ten is Kansai-rules mahjong players USING MAHJONG TO TAKE OVER THE YAKUZA! I shit you not. It is so awesome and badass. It's like... badassome. Yes.
In Whistle!-related news I am considering abandoning Shige/Mizuno for Mizuno/Sho because I basically die a little from cute every time Sho says something all shounen hero-y and Mizuno's like o////o *ドキドキ* ...THE CUTEST. (It's even better when Shige notices. "LOL ARE YOU BLUSHING." "WHAT NO OF COURSE I'M NOT DON'T BE STUPID GO RUN LAPS.")
Ahhh, I move out on Saturday and I've still barely done any packing. This wouldn't be nearly as bad if I was studying hard for my Thursday exam (film), but... (Well it's not like I'm not studying at all...) To hell with it, I woke up this morning with a swollen eye and managed to accidentally stain patches of my hands and face (and jeans and curtains) orange, I'm entitled to do a little nothing at all. ._.
