So who's read Whistle!? Or is reading Whistle!, or has seen the anime, or whatever. I started reading the manga and I'm really liking it. It's kind of making me want to play soccer, which I am terrible at and don't even like. Aaaahhhhh. Also Shige and Mizuno totally need to make out right now okay. I'm just saying.
The first volume and a half, man, the translation was just so bad. SO BAD. Not that it was inaccurate, it was just filled with "Kisama, what did you say!" and "Gomen, gomen!" [Translator's note: Gomen gomen means sorry.] and oh my god "Hai!" [Translator's note: Hai means yes.] Honest to god, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Ridiculous.
Totally unrelated to Whistle!, ahem, but what's the generally policy on writing fanfiction for a completed series you're nowhere near done with? (It's not Whistle!.) Would I need to stick out the next 22 volumes (still not Whistle!) before I share it anywhere? (I'm a terrible liar.) I mean I know the final decision's mine, but I'd like to gather opinions if anyone's willing to offer them.
Oh yeah, and my Shakespeare exam was yesterday. Five term IDs, five passage IDs, and two essays, in three hours. My hand hurt so much by the time I was done the effort of writing the conclusion of the second essay almost had me in tears. ENGLISH STUDENTS. WE'RE HARDCORE except not.
I guess I should start packing at some point. Eh.
