So it's been six days since I first asked my don for a move-out date extension because the original last day to ask was the 7th. Apparently it was moved to the 12th but she didn't bother to tell anybody and she never bothered to get back to me despite my constant attempts to get in touch with her and this morning she wrote on her whiteboard that anyone looking to get an extension at this point would have to contact Housing to do so. So I phoned Housing before noon but couldn't get through; figuring they were on lunch, I waited an hour and tried again. Same deal, so I waited longer. Around 3PM I walked over to the Housing office, only to be told that they only handle extensions if they're past the 24th, which is when I need to stay until, and I just need my don's approval. Of course she's not answering her door, so I put a note under it and have yet to hear back from her about that.
My student card expires at the end of the month because it's my fourth year so I need to get a new one for next year. Apparently I can get a new one for free since this one's expiring, but I have to wait until after I've enrolled in classes, which isn't until June, an I'll have moved home by then. I e-mailed them asking if there's any way to get around this, and somewhere in the chaos got a line back that it's actually good until the end of August (though the card itself says otherwise) and I can get one once I've moved back in. Because, you know, that's the best time to get a picture for photo ID taken, right after moving in when you're all sweaty and exhausted.
I gathered up my books from this year and previous years that I don't want hanging around and took them over to buybacks at the bookstore, holy crap they weighed a fuckton. I got a bit over $50, which is a bummer 'cause at least one of those books cost me over $100 by itself, but I don't have the room for them so a little money's better than none at all. At least I didn't have to carry them back.
And at some point in there I got a bee caught in my hair.
TODAY HAS BEEN A BUSY DAY. *falls over*
brb dying to death
