So instead of Go-onger I decided to start watching Papa to Musume no Nanokakan, since I really like Aragaki Yui but I haven't seen her in very much and certainly not for a while, plus I'm still a little shook up over Sailor Fuku to Kikanjuu and it seems cute and funny and not traumatic.
And, and.
At the end of the first episode there's this little subplot that involves Koume and her friend calling out a guy from another school who (allegedly) knocked up their classmate. I was like, "Ooh, who is this mysterious guy from the wrong side of the tracks? *props chin on hands, fascinated*"
What the hell I apparently wasn't kidding when I said MORI REN IS IN EVERYTHING. Seriously, that makes FOUR SERIES IN A ROW.
I also apparently wasn't kidding when I said I'll ship Mori Ren with any character in a sailor uniform that's the same height as him. (There must be something in his contract requiring every show he's in to have a 168cm tall girl in the main cast.)
Okay, the scene is him getting called out over a pregnancy scare with another girl and Koume's canon love interest is Kato Shigeaki and she's actually a middle-aged man in a high school girl's body, but I DON'T FRIGGIN' CARE. I SHIP IT.
Admittedly I'm a little disappointed that the first thing I saw him in had him playing a badass stoic killer yakuza and now I'm gradually discovering his typecast role is a geeky, awkward schoolboy, but honestly it just makes me want to watch more stuff he's in so I can find another Ranmaru-type role. N- not that I don't dig the geeky schoolboy look, of course. Okay I guess I just want to watch more stuff with Mori Ren in it. And looking at his Wikipedia profile, it doesn't look like that'll be a problem... (Like three dozen series since... 1992? Dear god. *starts translating*)
Okay, now I guess I should actually get my reading done for tomorrow... *sigh*
