HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KIDO YUYA although it's actually already passed in Japan but it's still the nineth here plus I got my 'happy birthday' comment in on his blog with plenty of time to spare SO YEAH. I kept an eye on the comment count and it's surpassed 450, approximately doubling the previous record for most comments on a post (held by the 'thank you for your comments on my one year blog anniversary post' post, which I believe was only the second time comments went past 200 with the first being the previous post). Yes, I am the keeper of the stats or something; just call me Ranking Fuuta.
By the looks of it he spent the day partying down with Tenimyu folk and thus probably did not stop by Cube HQ or whatever you want to call it and thus has not yet recieved my present. Plus I really get the feeling he'd mention the letters and presents from fans if he'd recieved them. I kind of want to overanalyze every variable in the situation and try to figure out when he'll get the present but I've reluctantly decided to just chill out and be content with the knowledge that he will get it eventually.
And speaking of me being an obsessive spazz, GUESS WHO FINISHED SLAM DUNK. I didn't even mean to - I was just going to read a few chapters or a volume but, well, THE SANNOH GAME. I couldn't very well just stop reading and go to bed, at least not considering how much I was freaking the hell out. OH MY GOD I CRIED SO HARD. FOR, LIKE. THREE SOLID VOLUMES. Also, also. Oh my god. SAKURAGI PASSED TO RUKAWA~ AND RUKAWA PASSED TO SAKURAGI~ And I swear to god I honestly believe that was Inoue Takehiko's way of admitting they are so ridiculously gay for each other.
JUST. JUST. OMG. When acchikocchi rec'd Slam Dunk to me she said, "I keep trying to explain why it's so great and the sentence inevitably devolves into just exclaiming my favorite characters' names," and I now totally get that. Like, starting with "SAKURAGI!!!" and working my way down to "THE GUY GOING LIKE \o/ ON THIS PAGE!!!" (Seriously, \o/ Guy has a special place in my heart. Way to be awesome, random background character.)
