So it seems the trend over the last couple of years in regards to Halloween is for me to stand in front of my closet the morning of and put something together from what I already own. I'm thinking it's a result of three years ago when I decided I was getting too old for Halloween and didn't bother; now each year I feel compelled to come back with, "Like hell I am!" and throw something together for the lulz. Two years ago was a failtastic
Kokonoe Rin from Kodomo no Jikan and last year was
Batman and
Yankumi from Gokusen; this year I went in a different direction.
Er, before I get to that, though, the humidity did a real number on my hair which actually looked rather nice before the weather got at it. Some photographic evidence first, just so no one thinks I'm completely incapable of straightening my hair properly.
Nice and shiny, if I do say so myself.
As for the costume, I put together the most horribly clashing, ridiculous getup I could manage, which was actually rather hard since most of my clothes fit into a red-and-black coordinate range. Then, add bling and stupid stuff until I can't move without clinking. Why? 'Cause I'm G-Dragon, baby.
I look like massive doof (doesn't help that I'm not at all photogenic) but I was having a hell of a lotta fun, so it's all good. What might not be immediately apparent is that I'm actually wearing four shirts: a white tank top to flatten out what's pretty flat to begin with, a Hello Kitty tshirt, a pink striped sweater, and a red button-up shirt. Moreover, two belts are involved; Square-Enix would be proud. And what cracked me up was that I tied the scarf with a reef knot without thinking; it's the knot you use to tie a Girl Guides scarf. Hoo boy.
But wait! Impromptu costume change! Why? Well, I had a backup idea lurking in the back of my mind and I can't see of any good reason to just toss it out when my closet is right there. Seriously, RIGHT THERE.
Okay I'm pretty sure Andrew's grey sweater isn't actually freakin' velveteen, but it's Halloween so whatever. Genderswap Andrew? Andrew's older sister? Hell if I know.
Standard apologies for my fat face tainting your flist apply as always. I figure I get a free pass once a year, right? =D
(P.S. Yes I know it's the 30th but I'm going home on the weekend and won't be doing Halloweenish stuff so for me today counts as Halloween.)
