Oh yeah so I bought a basketball last week...

Urrgh, it's so miserable out today.

So of course today is the day I randomly pick to go play basketball before class. At 7AM. On no sleep. And no breakfast. In the rain. (For the record, sleep deprivation was in this instance due to noisy neighbours and quad-lings rather than my own insomnia. Thanks, guys. Seriously half a dozen guys randomly decided to sit in a circle on the floor in the hall right outside my room at like four in the morning. And talk loudly. About drugs!) And for extra win at one point I slipped on the wet asphalt but still managed to catch the ball... with my face. Right in the glasses, awesome. So now I have a cut above my eye and I'm waiting to see if a black eye will follow. YAY, FACE BANDAID. I look/feel like such a tool.

But in actual good news, dribbling is easier than I remember? Maybe I got better through lack of practice... IDK, I'm pretty unathletic, it seems possible. And out of probably over a hundred shots I only actually made six, but five were nothin' but net so I am a little confused.

Got winded pretty quickly, though, and my lungs now hate me if the phlegmy stuff I'm coughing up is any indication. Gross headache, kinda drenched, freezing and achey, oh and I managed to take a big chunk out of my thumbnail not playing basketball but opening my umbrella on the way to class! I am now afraid of it because my thumb now has nothing to protect it; that thing means business.

And of course my legs feel like lead and I am very, very tired (YES LET US EXERCISE WHILE ALREADY EXHAUSTED THIS IS OBVIOUSLY BRILLIANT *facepalm*) so even though I really should go to my tutorial at 1:30 a nap sounds really nice. *can't decide* =/

Maybe I should call it an early long weekend... Thoughts?

(Also, a summary of what I learned in lecture this morning: The Mongols ruin everything. This is why the Song dynasties couldn't have nice things!)

no sleep, basketball, dammit ow, laaaame, adventures in unathleticism, lolfail
