Instead of finding new things to talk about, I just say the same things about ChocoMimi all the time
MyAnimeList.net now has character profile pages for Andrew, Mika-chin, and Bambi. I haven't felt this accomplished in a while! (Yes, I used promo pics from the drama, shhh don't tell anyone.)
Things I learned about ChocoMimi while translating stuff from the Japanese Wikipedia article:
* Choco and Jin have another brother, named Rai. Mika-chin and Aoi also have two older brothers, which concerns me because really, two Mikami siblings is plenty.
* Andrew's special skill is speaking English because he attended elementary school in Britain alkshdgs why was that cut from the drama? ;_;
* Bambi's given name is written with characters meaning "small deer". lol I see wat u did thar, Sonoda. (BTW how do you read 小鹿 anyway? I took a shot in the dark, but I can't remember Bambi ever being referred to as anything other than 'Bambi' in the drama.)
* Mimi's special skills are making excuses and faking crying a;slkdhgs oh Mimi.
* The woman that played Haruna-sensei, Morishita Yuuri, is actually a gravure idol. Sankaku gallery here. (Warning: Sankaku Complex doesn't even approach worksafe on a good day.)
* The director, Kusano Yoka, also directed BL movies such as Bokura no Ai no Kanade and Kindan no Koi. I guess that kind of explains Mika-chin in a dress and this:
And in semi-related news, there's apparently now a Shugo Chara! stageshow/musical, with cast members including KENN and the kid who played Jin in ChocoMimi. There's a musical version of EVERYTHING, I swear.
Also I was looking through my old ChocoMimi posts and decided my fail!sh00ped screenshot had to become an icon. You know? I regret nothing. *INCREDIBLY AMUSED*
