Because who doesn't want to see my 6'4 whiter-than-Wonder-Bread brother go "어머나!"?
* I said something to moeruze_burning last night about how if the Ameba servers go down I'm probably to blame, because I am a total refresher monkey when it comes to Kido Yuya's blog. Sure enough, the servers were down for maintenance when I got up today. AHAHAHA WHOOPS? I was asleep for a good twelve hours beforehand, though, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't actually me, just ridiculous timing and my total failure to recognize when I'm saying things that tempt fate.
* My family went to the cottage this weekend. So they spent the weekend outside in the sun, having fun and going swimming and whatever. I spent it inside, studying and feeling like crap. Thank you, family, for not waiting an extra week or two so I could have gone with you. =/
* I stopped in at the bookstore today and discovered that what used to be the graphic novels/manga section is now just the GN section, and all the manga has been moved into the humour section. With the Light, Buddha, MW, apparently this is hilarious stuff? Fail, bookstore.
* I thought it would be fun to learn the Tell Me dance, forgetting that I'm terribly uncoordinated and have the memory span of a goldfish. I've learned the first two sections, though, so about forty seconds worth, and I'm feeling rather accomplished. So yeah. Man, I never had this trouble with dances to Tackey and Tsubasa songs. *facepalm* (My mother's suggestion? Get my brother to put the tutorial video on his Zen when we get home so we can watch it on our giant TV and he and I can learn it together. Rest assured that if this comes to pass I will make sure it makes it to YouTube.)
* I somehow came across the trailer for Komori Seikatsu Kojo Club, which looks kind of awesome.
It has Kuriyama Chiaki, Oshinari Shugo in a suit, an awesome theme song by BEAT CRUSADERS, and Furuta Arata as a middle-aged salaryman by day and a deadly vigilante ally of justice by night! I want to see it LIEK NAO, which is a shame because it's not out until November, so if it ever gets subs it probably won't be until next summer, give or take. Sighhhh.
* So ever since I saw the Akihabara@DEEP movie, I've been thinking about Box's line about it being easier to buy a life-sized Ayanami Rei figure than deal with real girls. It's so open-ended. I mean, how much would that cost? How easy would one be to find? Does such a thing actually exist? Well now I have my answers. (Actually I have two sets of answers, and that one happens to be cheaper and better looking, so.) Oh Japan, WTF. Never change.
ETA: So I'm holding a three-quarters full carton of milk that expired two days ago, sniffing it and trying to figure out if that faint smell is a warning sign or just regular milk smell. Ah, to hell with it. *takes a gulp* ...Oh, so that's what expired milk tastes like. brb washing my mouth out with Clorox.
