how we do...

So, this weekend was completely awesome. Friday I got to go see Silent Hill with a whole slew of people, I'm guessing about fifteen, some I barely see anymore.
Saturday was amazing. Dan, Luke, Yin and I went to Johns Hopkins college in Baltimore for the Brand New show. On the way we stopped at a rest stop where we loaded up on caffeinated beverages, Dan stole some aviators and wore a bag over his head. I ran into three people there that I haven't seen around lately, which was cool, too.

When we got there we had a few hours to kill, and we had planned on going to their spring fair which was fully equipped with rides, other live music, good food and tents of junk to buy. However, it was pouring down rain so I stopped to buy a few books and then the whole place emptied out as the rain got harder.

Yin ran away from us and Dan, Luke and I couldn't figure out where we were going on the campus, jumping and taking shelter one awning at a time where we would stand for a few minutes talking about nonsense and complaining.
Eventually, we proceeded to make an unlawful entry into the school where we sort of dried, but not really.
They had robotic cockroaches, it was beautiful.
Dan decided to tag some white board as Luke nabbed some formulas solutions.

All in all, it was fun. We all decided Brand New was not worth all the trouble, but it was still really enjoyable.
I loved the show, but no one else did.
The first band was astounding, and even played a Daniel Johnston cover, which floored me because it was full of energy.
Jesse came out in a beanie and thick rimmed glasses, which was strange...and then Vinni came out without his hat on crooked, and he's growing a moustache that makes him look like Luigi. Ladies and gentlemen, the boys of pop punk have now grown up to be men and moved on.

They played maybe 2 or 3 poppy songs, but for the most part it was every laid back and semi-slow song they'd ever written. They also played one of the new songs from fight off your demons, which was really well done.
Some guy in the pit was a real jerk, and apparently Dan spin kicked him in the face at some point. It was a shame, but there was like no two-stepping. However, it was a really good show, especially if your taste lies more along emo/accoustic/mellow indie.
Sunday's sermon was pretty cool, and then I got to go to Bamboo House. I spent all afternoon sleeping and reading until Brian and I hung out at Brad's in Jersey.
As of right now I love my life and my friends.
