So, um. I'll be honest.
I can't fuckin' choose.
When it comes down to it, I really do have three favorite shows. They are shows that seriously have a special place in my heart.
What are those shows?
Well:
Scrubs.
Glee.
and How I Met Your Mother.
Oh. My. GOD.
I'm sorry. I really couldn't choose.
I can be somewhat of a TV junkie. Yes. That's why I chose this meme over others.
And some might be like "RAWUHAWEKRN:FE" for chosing these shows and/or chosing three "favorite" shows.
But I really couldn't do it.
I'm sorry.
I couldn't.
Let me explain:
Scrubs was the first that I started to actually buy the DVD seasons so I could watch more of it. Though, I got frustrated looking for them all without buying them online (I only own season one and three), so I started watching it online.
But this show. OH god. This show.
I am in love with Zach Braff.
GIAGHJLBELG GAH! Zach Braff himself AND J.D. are amazing.
Oh, John Dorian.
He's so adorable AND silly. And childish. And there's a hint of super-sanity. NOT insanity. SUPER sanity.
There are points that he understands SO well that it seems insane to me but... It just. Makes. Sense.
I have learned so much from this show. I cried so hard when it ended at season 8 (season 9 is eh but season 8. OH season 8!).
And this show was the first show to embrace how... Slashy and sparkly it can be.
With these two:
C'mon.
It's guy love between two guys.
But they got one thing wrong: there is something gay about it. And it rocks.
So, yes, Scrubs has a place in my heart. And so does this next show.
Glee.
Yes! I should be obvious by now that I am a gleek. And I do have friends, both on LJ and in real life, that are ashamed of me for liking it.
BUT I DON'T CARE! <3
I am a huge theatre geek, which is the reason I had started to watch this show. Purely for the theatre, musical aspect. And I fell in love.
With these two men:
Matthew Morrison...
...And Cory Monteith.
I'll leave that at that.
(PS: They both can be so slashy together on the show and admittedly I can be a sucker for teacher/student relationships. Eheh.)
With the show in general, I can actual relate. I'm in my school's drama club, and believe it or not there can be somewhat of a competition between us and other schools. Like last year when we did the same show, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, as another school in the same year. And this year we did Little Shop Of Horrors and another school did it the year before.
The rivalry between the New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline? Yeah. I can relate.
Sure, not to the extent with all their pranks of egging and slashing tires, but I can still relate.
And it's dramatic! I like drama! I mean, I use to be a degrassi fan for fuck's sake! But at least this show doesn't take it degrassi-far, and I like that.
Also, generally, this show has turned out to be, well... SLASHTASTIC. Oh. My. God. There are so many deliciously adorable pairings, both guy-guy and girl-girl.
AND EVEN GIRL-GUY! And I never usually focus on the hetero!
I mean... This is ME we're talking about! I can slash anything, but with this show? For once, there are some pairings, hetero as it is, that I can not bash.
I felt the need Glee needed exessive backing-up because I know more haters for it. xD
AND LAST! But not least!
How I Met Your Mother: it may be tied for favorite show, but it is my favorite sitcom!
To start, I'll explain the reason why I ever started watching the show.
Because I need to get him off my chest.
Because I am a tad obsessive over him.
For he is my idol (next to Will Smith).
Neil.
Patrick.
Harris.
*seizures at the legendary awesomeness*
(See? I use references from the show all the time!)
Neil Patrick Harris. He is, as his character Barney Stinson always calls himself, awesome.
He makes my mind do this:
(Yes, that is straight from the show.)
I just... I have no other words for this man. Or his character, Barney Stinson, who is my favorite sitcom-character of all time.
Now with the whole show in general, it's just amazing. I love how the whole show is just one continuous story about how Ted, who I use to refer as the lead and technically he is, met his wife and is now telling that story to his kids.
For season after season after season. What a story. I wish I was his kid. xD
So, yeah, I use to refer to Ted (Josh Radnor) as the lead, but as the show went on each character developed more of their own plot line that merges together so well and oh god I bow down to the show's creators.
The gags always come back. They're always worth referencing to. And it's just great. It really is.
I even own the Bro-Code. A book that is entirely based off a gag in the show.
Amazing.
SO CONCLUSION!
These three shows? Yeah, they're all my favorites. Tied for first place. I can't chose one.
Don't make me chose one, 'cause I can't.
PS: When two of those shows crossed over a bit by one actor going into the other show? My heart exploded a bit.
Because that man was Neil Patrick Harris.
On Glee.
And his character's name RHYMED. Bryan Ryan. They both even have a y in them.
