I'm a little nervous because I don't know wether or not you like this banner.
A while ago I found these great tutorials at livejournal (did credit them in my Userinfo), and now creating this banner for you I thought this one could fit to your Journal and your vignettes. It's kinda dreamy/romantic... but have a look:
