(no subject)
So what all has happened since I've gotten out of school? I moved out on the 13th after my Human Physiology exam. Eric followed us home since he would be going to the beach with me the week after. Got home and unpacked the van then returned it to Enterprise. We were mostly lazy that whole week. One day we went and got my phone fixed since the screen decided to go black and break during college. Got a replacement phone which ended up not working, so I had to take that one back too. Just to be replaced w/ the same phone. Just taking it easy and relaxing for once in a while. On the 17th, we visited Susan since it was her 19th b-day :)! I bought her a Starbucks gift card since she's hooked on that stuff. She liked it. Then we all went to Lynchburg b/c I needed to buy Reese some hay and a new wheel. Then Susan scoped out some possible new guineas! We saw one really cute one! Then I had to leave and come back home and be lazy some more. Me, Mom, & Eric left for the beach on the 19th. It was windy that day so we ate at Harpoon Larry's (Mmmm crab legs). Me & Eric took a walk down the beach. It was nice. Saturday was really hot, but the wind kept blowing so the sand basically beat us to death, so we layed out by the pool instead. Then a cute little ducky decided to take a swim in our pool! He was very cute! Then we swam in the indoor pool which was very warm and nice, unlike the cold pool outside. That night we all walked down the beach and to the pier, shopped in the stores, and ate some good dinner at LaVernes after searching all day for a restaurant my family used to eat at during vacations which has apparently burned down :( That night I got some interesting drunk phone calls from my homies Susan, Nicole, & Jeph! Then we left on Sunday and drove back to good ole Chase City. We got home just in time to see everyone at Granny's. I get to babysit Blake on June 24th!! w00t w00t!
Got my grades from school back. I got an A in Human Physiology Lab, C+ in the class, B+ in Art, B in Personal Finance, and B+ in Religion. Very good semester. But apparently not good enough even though I busted my ass. That's all I've heard lately is how I need to stop spending time w/ Eric and do my work. I mean geez.. he's like the only life I have in Roanoke. Everyone else seems to do their own thing and not include me, so I do work and hang w/ Eric instead. Apparently though, I'm not supposed to have any sort of life while in college. Just locked up in my room all day studying. But ne-way..
I started work on the 22nd. I work 7:30-5:30 Mondays, 12:30-5:30 Tuesdays, 7:30-5:30 Wednesdays, Off Thursdays, 7:30-5:30 Fridays, and 7:30-12:30 on Saturdays. There's a new guy at the vet named Adam who is 24. He's really funny. Terra is out on maternity leave with new baby Wyatt. And there's a new vet named Andrea Redd. She's really nice and funny. Ryan only works Saturdays now since he's doing baseball in school. We also got a new ultrasound machine! And since our X-ray machine broke, we will shortly be getting a new machine for that! I mostly work up front but then I slip into the back and try to stay back there. It's alot of fun back there.
Saturday I wanted to suprise Eric by meeting him after his interview but of course an emergency came into the vet and that plan was ruined. But I still went to see him and we went to go see X-3 which was really good. Then we ate Red Lobster.. it was very yummy! I left on Sunday and came back home.
Worked today from 7:30-12:50 since Dr. Dahl decided to be nice and close a half day early. Tons of emergencies came in, as always. First we had to clean the wounds from the dog fight from Saturday. Poor little hound doggie, he could hardly stand. We cleaned his wounds then found that he had maggots!! wooohooo!! I was magggot diving with the tweezers, tons of fun. Then another dog fight came in. He couldn't move his back legs either, which isn't good. We were going to take x-rays, but dun dun dun, the stupid machine broke! So we clipped & cleaned his wounds and put him on IV fluids. THEN a broken leg puppy came in. His stupid owners stepped on him... niiiceee. He was really painful, the poor thing. So we sedated him since we cant take X-rays yet. Then we all finally got off and went home. As soon as I get home, Dr. D calls and says he needs me & Katie to come in tonight to treat everyone. Joy. So I cut the grass, then headed on over to the vet. We fed and medicated everyone and I got home around 7:30
I have to work all day tomorrow since I'm taking off early to go to the chiropractor for my back. Hopefully he can fix whatever is going on. Then I have surgery on Friday. And great lasanga from Susan on Saturday! yay!
Well, I'm off to bed now... if I can get sleep with crazy Reese running all around.
