Adventure

So Q and I went around the Maxwell/Ann Siang/Club Street area yesterday. Wanted to have the malted soya bean milk, fish soup and some tian tian chicken rice before going to explore the other atas places but Q came late. But by the time he arrived, it was lunch, the queues were snaking and so we headed to some little French restaurant, Les Bouchons, instead. It was only after we left Les Bouchons we googled and realized how incredibly popular and well-liked the restaurant was. Apparently it is impossible to get a seat without any prior reservation. So I guess we got lucky - or maybe not, because I didn't think the food warranted its price. Yes, the steak and fries were great, but the entrees were pretty dull. I thought the salad was way too bitter. It's not a place I would return.

After lunch, we headed behind to try the renowned Kki bakery. We shared a Little Red Riding Hood and it was superb! We loved it. Quality dark chocolate cake with a raspberry centre. Absolutely delightful. Wished I had a couple more cakes, but I was so full from lunch. Guess we will have to wait for next time.

Oakham market was unfortunately closed. Was looking forward to digging for some vintage treasures. And then it was H&M and Zara for office wear. Yes, had a few picks from Zara but we didn't really have the time to settle on them because we has Immortals to catch. About the movie, I hate to be crude but you might as well flush $10 down the toilet bowl - same experience without wasting 2 hours.
