You're right..it is that time of year when you kinda put everything into perspective...
When I wrote in my journal about September 11, it was a big huge thing about how stupid people were and all, but now that I look at it, I see alot of people have forgotten that and moved on to the next big thing, which happens to be Iraq. People died in 2001, and they're dying now and what sickens me about it is that none of it is personal. It's all statistical. Fucking assholes..there are people dying overseas who don't deserve to be there.
That makes me think about how you said that we take for granted the things we DO have. Very good point. Some people will never have the material things we have, such as houses, clothes, food, music even, and then there are people who are incredibly rich too, who will never have the emotional feelings we have, like love, and care, and compassion. It makes me feel completely lucky, but at the same time, wishing that SO many people could have happiness and love in life.
I think that's what I'll wish for this season. *smiles* Good post.

Good point about the emotional needs, too. Sometimes they can be more important than the material, you know?
