I just read this not too long ago from Dillon's Xanga, It's really good and puts things into perspective..it's long, if you want to, you should read it, it's worth it.
Wow, that thing is horribly inaccurate. I like how these are the attacks they cite:
"Iran Embassy Hostages, 1979; Beirut, Lebanon Embassy 1983; Beirut, Lebanon Marine Barracks 1983; Lockerbie, Scotland Pan-Am flight to New York 1988; First New York World Trade Center attack 1993; Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996; Nairobi, Kenya US Embassy 1998; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania US Embassy 1998; Aden, Yemen USS Cole 2000; New York World Trade Center 2001; Pentagon 2001."
when one of the major terrorist attack on American soil was the Oklahoma City bombing, which WAS NOT performed by a Muslim, but rather a white male. Oh, and they also failed to cite Waco, also peformed by whites.
Oh, and when he says, "No, I blame us for blithely assuming we can maintain all of our Political Correctness and all of our civil rights during this conflict and have a clean, lawful, honorable war." and then later says, "And finally, name any Muslim countries throughout the world that allow freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom of religion, freedomof the Press, equal rights for anyone." This guy is contradicting himself. He says that we shouldn't try to keep our civil rights, when he tries to say that the United States is great because we have these civil rights. I mean, I am right to assume that freedom of religion, speech, press, and equal rights ARE civil rights, aren't I? So wouldn't sacrificing these rights bring us to the level of these "evil Muslim" nations?
"Will we ever stop hearing from the politically correct, about the "peaceful Muslims"?" This guy is an idiot. Of course not. If he is advocating threats upon innocent lives... Jesus Christ.
Seriously, what is this guy advocating? He seems to say that those who oppose the war should just shut up. What? Isn't that one of the freedoms we are fighting for? Isn't that what a democracy is? The rule of the people, not the rule of the military. If he wants martial rule, or whatever it is he is advocating, he should leave.
This is propaganda, pure and simple, and shouldn't be listened to. Its a one-sided, inaccurate portrait of our times, and is worse than Michael Moore, in the area. At least Moore can concede if he is wrong in some points.

If this was about terrorism among United States Citizens, then MAYBE you would have a point. But seeing as how this was about the War on Terrorism against the Muslims, you saying that is non-sensicle. Michale Moore Rules, this guy Rules, and if you looked at it in the correct perspective, you would know what he was REALLY trying to say. Learn to read, douche bag.
hmm..I love how you get into the political topics. Mr. Debate..let's debate this shall we?
"No, I blame us for blithely assuming we can maintain all of our Political Correctness and all of our civil rights during this conflict and have a clean, lawful, honorable war. None of those words apply to war. Get them out of your head." You didn't put the whole quote in there which made it seem contradictory to the statement he made later "And finally, name any Muslim countries throughout the world that allow freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom of religion, freedomof the Press, equal rights for anyone - let alone everyone, equal statusor any statusfor women, or that have been productive in one single way that contributes to the good of the World." What he is trying to say is that the big deal we made out of how the P.O.W.'s were being treated by our soldiers over in Iraq, is very miniscule compared to what they do to eachother everyday. Giving up our civil rights was meant as in..shit will not be the same as it was before the war, which it clearly is not. This is true for many reasons. I could write an essay. His main point is to clearly show that if we don't pull together this thing could take alot longer than expected..which it is. Don't you agree that when people all have the same opinions about a topic and they merge together whatever they are working for will be accomplished better than if they had been a group of people with different ideas? Although this may never be acheived, he is simply making a statement/message which he believes to be true. However, I do not agree with his bashing of the Muslims, it was specific groups in these attacks, just because they all may happen to be Muslim doesn't mean it was the MUSLIMS who were responsible for any of the acts of violoence/terrorism.
"when one of the major terrorist attack on American soil was the Oklahoma City bombing, which WAS NOT performed by a Muslim, but rather a white male. Oh, and they also failed to cite Waco, also peformed by whites." This is a correct statement if you look at it right. (Dylan) Because this letter is also about terrorism and the man who wrote it does place emphasis on JUST the Muslim's and they're wrong-doings to us..however..there have been many more terroristic attacks on America besides just the ones from the Muslim's and to be politically correct it was the terrorist GROUPS..not the Muslim's.
