hi!

oh the new year! ohhhhhh the new year indeed!

some absolutely fabulous things have happened thus far. similarly, some absolutely terrible things have happened that surprisingly had fabulous results.

i'm loving this new year. . . this year of change, growth, maturity, and responsibility.

in terms of the career--hair is definitely a tough business; full of ego trips, over-achievers, long hours, and lazy co-workers just to name a few. However, I belong here. The more and more I work at L&G, the more and more i realize what a perfect fit this industry is for me. I'd rot in my own skin if I had a desk job or a job where I couldn't express my creative juices. I work too much, but at the same time, I don't think I'd be able to handle only working 40 hours a week. I'm where I'm supposed to be, thats for sure.

Last friday I got dumped. But it's ok. Honestly. Andy has proved-tho in a very short amount of time-to be a total ass hole. I'm not gonna lie--he and I have had a lot of fun over the past year. HOWEVER, I've also been caused a lot of stress and undue heart ache. This will be the fourth-and final-ime in less than a year that he's "broken up" with me because he wanted to "hang out with his friends." Each time he gave me the same excuse and each time he called me within a month telling me he was bored and lonely and missed me. This time, I'm completely uninterested in any sort of apology. I'm enjoying life! I'm going out with my friends, I'm actually getting things done, I'm hanging out and talking to most of my guy friends who I haven't seen in months. I'm 23, and these are the things I'm supposed to be doing.

February 3rd means Liz Grubic and I baking ourselves in the Arubian sun!! I am so excited for those blissful 10 days of sun, shopping, alcohol and sleep. I can't wait!

The week after I get back from Aruba, I start working out at the Medina Rec with my personal trainer ;) My parents got me a year membership to the rec and then they are paying for 2 sessions with Milt, the 25 year old personal trainer. . . which I find somewhat humerous.

Anyway, like i said, the year of change. I'm ready for it.
