This is awesome.
Today I had a performance... damn, I love the stage. Me and a few other girls were performing excerpts from monologues taken from immigrants that we interviewed. We performed at LaGuardia college theater ;).
The other performers were my three friends (coincidentally) and another girl whom I severely dislike >.>. I hate her, okay? She's so popular and slutty and plastic... and I'm not saying this because I'm some dork who hates the pretty girls, because I know I'm not and I'm fairly popular. Omg, I hate her so much. I really don't want to, because it feels horrible, but I just wish I'd never have to see her again, which I won't since we're graduating next month.
Anyways, we were coached by this awesome person who's practically professional and, like, wrote a book and everything. Lols. She's awesome.
We were told that we needed to be there by 3, so we decided to meet up at 2:15 and drive there. Lols... I took the subway to the place we were meeting and accidentally got there 40 minutes early since the subway wasn't nearly as fucked up as it usually is. So, I walked around, grabbed a sandwhich, and came back. Then I met the two other girls, waited like 30 minutes for our ride xDD. When I called her she said she was two blocks away, but the traffic was bad and I thought that was hilarious because that must have been some two long-ass blocks. Then, the fourth girl never showed up. We left without her, because we're mean, and later found out that she was already at the threater >.> Inconvenient, much? We frikkin' WAITED a long time.
So, yeah, then I find out that we're not performing until 8:00. WTF?! And that was all according to plan, too. We spent those four hours rehearsing/hanging out and then we performed. There were some cool acts from different schools, but our group was the youngest xD. They all looked at us funny because we were from a Top 3 school and we still looked hot xD. It's, like, did they expect us to be nerds or something? Our school is one of the clique-iest in my opinion, really. There was this weird-ass dance about bugs, stepping, lots of other monologues, and then us.
We were awesome, really. I was surprisingly not nervous at all. I think most of the girls were better in rehearsal, but I performed the best at THE performance, which I think is really cool actually. We were simple, sitting on the edge of the stage with a spotlight, everything else completely dark... it was cool.
And we later got to hang out with our awesome English teacher and were driven home. I got home after 10:00 xDD.
I thought I was so tired and was immediatly going to go to bed, but it is now 1:36 PM.
Lols.
