I think that if there is one thing, in the lies and follies and imaginations of mankind, that I believe in, it is that everything happens for a reason. You'll have skeptics for this theory, as there is for everything else; even I was wary of it at one point. And yet now, after a series of events that has spanned a couple years, I know that I have to believe in it. Because everything does happen for a reason. There was a reason why WWII happened; countries just didn't decided to one day go to war. No; it needed to happen to bring light to social and political issues at the time. Without that war, things would be very different right now. It happened because it had to.
I do not believe that there is a "god" or supreme being intervening with it at all. I can't - and I doubt I ever will. But what I do get out of this is that I have to learn from my mistakes and the actions of others towards me. Because if i don't, this life is going to suck pretty damn badly. There really is something to be said about my errors and omissions, as well as those of others, and how they're going to impact the way I react to certain situations in the future.
More to come on this thought later. For now, I need to get ready for school.
