Glad to be Back!

On Thursday, April 14, I felt the most horrendous pain ever on the lowest left side of my back at 3:00 a.m. My back had been bothering me for days, but I was sure that the molestation had to do with bad sleeping habits. Wrong! It turned out that I had a 3mm kidney stone.

After feeling such an intense pain, my first reaction was to find my way to the bathroom. For some reason, I thought that the pain had to do with constipation. So, I forced myself to walk toward the bathroom and try my luck. What a stupid idea! By forcing myself to go the bathroom, I increased the pain. I could not think straight anymore. The only thing I could think of was calling for help. Luckily, one of my sisters was awake at 3:00 a.m. studying for an exam. As soon as she realized that there was something wrong with me, she called our mother. Mom tried everything to make the pain go away, but nothing worked. Seeing the desperation written all over my face, Mom decided to take me to the hospital early in the morning. Because two of my sisters needed to go to school, I had to wait until 8:00 a.m. to finally arrive to the hospital. So, I had to bear that horrible pain for several hours. At one point, I truly wanted to pass out or something. My father, however, was certain that I was exaggerating until he learned that I had a kidney stone well-hidden in my left kidney.

To make the long story short, I had to bear the pain for 24 long hours. It was not until Friday, April 15, that I started feeling an improvement. It wasn't an immediate change, but I was feeling less pain. On Saturday, the area was already numb. Even now, the pain is still there but is somewhat numb. In other words, it can be endured. Thank God! I still have the kidney stone inside me. My doctor says that I should be releasing it any time now. Well, I am still waiting. I do not want to suffer from such a pain again. I am under tons of medication that make me feel stupid. As I write, my head moves from side to side and my eyesight is all over the place. I feel like a drug addict while my body hurts from the slightest touch. I want to feel like my old self once again. However, I am glad to be back home. Since I did not know that this pain would end up in hospitalization, I did not bring my iPod with me. I have never needed Arashi so much in my life. I could not stop thinking: “What would have happened if I had taken Arashi with me? Would I have been able to manage the pain better?” I still do not know, but something tells me that these guys would have created the perfect miracle for me. Last but never least, I missed you all so much! As stupid as I feel right now with all the medication, I still had to let you know that I am feeling much better. I hope everyone is doing OK. Love you!

Sincerely,

Davie
