i'm forcing myself to make this list so that i can focus on/remember good things in my life, so that way when i'm upset or think everything in my life is going wrong, i can look at this and remind myself that not everything is bad. so, in no particular order:
+ going to temple
+ all of the new friends i've made since in college: megan, lisa, chrissy, jess, fry, ryan, zach (even though i don't talk to him much now), mark, alex, everyone else
+ bailey and moslon
+ having a mostly decent relationship with my parents
+ all of the changes i've made for myself, internally and physically
+ my corner room with 2 windows
+ alison
+ making it through my first year of college alright (it's almost over)
+ being in the city
+ spring is almost here
+ liking most of my classes right now
+ being able to recognize more things about myself
+ being able to improve what i don't like about me
+ listening to others' advice (even if you think i'm not listening, i am)
+ having people be able to see me for who I really am, and still liking me
+ independence
+ support from the people who love me
+ recognizing when to walk away and when to keep fighting (still working on this, but i'm getting better at it than i was)
+ not being afraid to stand up for what i think is right
+ communicating to others how i feel more often
+ knowing when to ask for help
+ getting help when i ask for it (usually)
+ having the love of certain people
that's all for now, i might add to it later if i think of more things. i'm going to go get a shower. i wish that i could just simply change my outlook on life with a list, but i know that's not all it's going to take. at least it's a start in the right direction if it doesn't automatically change everything, though.
