Day 1
If I was ever asked a question of what the main reason was for previous rejections, it would be easy to answer. It was always, and forever will be my height. I mean, I can understand the thought of having a short boyfriend. Okay, so I lie. But I don’t blame them.
Others say I’m just far too clingy for a ‘normal’ guy. Since when were guys ever normal? Still, I can’t deny that I tend to freak out when someone doesn’t reply back to my texts, or even when I find out the person is talking to another man (even if he is a close friend). It’s just how I am. I’m sorry if it offends you in any way. My utmost apologizes.
Ruki glanced over his clothed shoulder, checking the time as of that very moment. “Nine forty-five.” He breathed out. Time to go to work. What fun.
Hmm, I could probably call in sick today, Ruki thought as he bended down to tie his shoes. A neatly knotted bow on each shoe and the blonde-haired man was ready to go for work. Well, somewhat.
“Where the hell is my name tag?!”

Twenty minutes late.
Ruki groaned, slouching over the counter top as his manager scolded and lectured on and on about being on time and the benefits of sleeping early. Using the term “Early to bed, early to rise.” This disinterested the smaller man in every possible way. Maybe he should just quit his job already? It might actually do him some good. A couple of days or even a week or two of relaxing, lazing around never hurt anyone and Ruki needed it, badly.
“Ruki, pay attention! We have a customer!”
Ruki blinked. Once. Twice.
Was this real? Impossible.
“Hello there.” A golden-haired man walked up to the register in a calmly manner. The blonde stood there frozen, with eyes staring rather widely at the sight before him. Such a stunning face, this man had. Another second and two more blinks awoke the cashier from his distracted mind. Did his eyes deceive him?
“Ah! I’m sorry. What was that sir?” A small, but noticeable blush swept across the cashier’s cheeks in complete and utter embarrassment. How long was Ruki staring? “Oh, I wanted to buy these.” The man had placed a bouquet of crimson red roses on the counter. He chuckled softly, hiding his mouth with a gloved hand. Was the blonde that obvious?
Chink. Off went the cash register as Ruki handed the man a total of twenty-six cents, plus the receipt. “There you go sir.”
The golden-haired man smiled sweetly and for a slight second, Ruki thought of it as more than just a simple smile. Something with a meaning behind those closed lips.
What was going on here?
The customer had exited out the door in no more than a few seconds as the bell jingled from off of the handle. Ruki sighed out. There was something strange about that guy yet, it intrigued the cashier. It must have had something to do with his presence once he took one step into the store. An unknown feeling of warmth and calmness. Encasing, filling the entire place with such an odd but comforting sense of peace. Giving Ruki the chills from the sudden rush of blood going throughout his whole body. Why was that?.
“I think too much. When’s my damn break?”

Day 2
I over think things, that’s all. Don’t worry yourself so much. It’s not healthy to sit around and worry about some guy you have never met before, and probably never will again.
Today was a Saturday, you know what that means right? “Time to sleep, sleep, sleep!” Ruki chirped out, his arms flailing as he rushed over to his bedroom. Ready to sleep and forget all about the man from yesterday.
“Night, night self!” A quick change of clothes and off went the blonde to dreamland. Unaware of what was to arise from the deep, forbidden corners off his mind.
