i realized tonight the difference of saying you'll do something that means a lot and actually doing it. For the most part - i pride myself in following through with whatever i commit to. I feel terrible missing brotherhood meetings and especially exec meetings. I missed one on sunday and felt awful and contacted the 5k organizer on what i missed.
My previous post was about our 5k. I myself, have invested a lot of time and heart into this 5K. It means so much to me personally and i thought it did for other too. When we found out about Ryan we, as a brotherhood, decided we were gunna do what we could to support him and his family. We, as a brotherhood, voted for our 5k to be in his honor for his scholarship fund. We've had extreme issues with the brotherhood not stepping up to help. Tonight at our meeting, Michelle - the one organizing it - and I basically stood in front of the Bhood and told them to step up. You say this matters to you, why won't you fucking commit to help. we have pledges more motivated to help than brothers and its so upsetting.
On a side note, my brother, Lizz is doing Bike for Build which rides bikes accross America building housing for those who are less fortunate and she really needs the brotherhoods help and they just aren't stepping up. She is giving her entire summer to bike accross AMERICA and help out for those who can't help themselves. If she doesn't raise enough money - her trip will be cancelled. which sucks. I know people dont really have money to spare but ... its just ridiculous to me that people can't even give a few dollers that I KNOW can.
ugh. im just ranting but DAMN its frustrating.
