So this thing that happened last week......

Yeah, I didn't bother posting it before, probably because I wasn't sure what to say about it, but my Uncle Harold died friday morning. It was very weird, because we weren't super close, but I honestly can't picture things without him. Christmas and the like won't be remotely the same. Uncle Harold is one of those people I can attribute my want to get into music to. He was very much involved in big band stuff when I was a kid (i'd gone with him once but I don't really remember), not so much in recent years (when i'd appreciate it ha ha), since he'd been often sick. I can remember thinking though, how cool it would be to be in that exclusive kinda group in the family with just me, him and his son keith, as musicians. Now, I mean, I'm just kind of a marginal musician, I don't understand an iota of it that they did, I just kind of do it, so I guess it's not the same, haha.... I dunno. It was just one of those things. Now he's gone and it's weird. I guess we won't know how weird for a while though...

I definately miss him.
