The election and josh

So, yesterday was pretty cool. Josh got 445 votes, which I feel is good for a young, first time unknown (he's a bit disappointed of course), and the democrats took EVERYTHING. I accompanied josh and JC to the republican "victory" party (HA), so we could get josh some contacts and it was beyond pathetic. All the broads were ugly (for the most part) and they didn't have any booze. No wonder they lost. They don't know how to have fun. However, we were also invited to the democrat's soiree on the opposite side of town, which was, as they say "off the hook". They had free food and beer, contrast to the water and celery that the republicans have. If you're on the fence about politics, I strongly urge you to consider the democratic party, as they seem to be able to unwind and throw a good party, unlike the fucking funeral parlor that was the republican crap room of despair. The chicks were better looking, too, but that is neither here nor there as it was not the focal point, for myself, of the evening. Majority Leader of the State House of Representatives is a man by the name of Chris Donovan. Chris Donovan is a really nice guy, and come to find out, a Ramones, Iggy and the Stooges, Smiths and Cure fan. Who knew not all politicians were stiff bastards? This guy ruled! We bs'd about music for an hour straight, it was really cool. Of course, josh made some good contacts on both sides. He isn't sure where he will go with right now, as the democrats are a good bet to win but won't have any openings any time soon. The republicans want some fresh faces and new blood, and josh could be just right for them (no pun intended). I'm definately going to help him though, wherever he ends up.

Oh, a few good things about the republican function. I got to rub it into my former boss's face that the
republicans lost, I finally saw Joe Marinan in person (he's a huge fucking robot), and Arline Dunlop further showcased her insanity by playing a kazoo when things started looking REALLY bleak.
