Looks like today is going to be chaotic. Our shire are having a cheap microchipping and registration day, and as the kittens have not yet been registered, microchipped (or desexed, but I want to see the ranger about getting a discount voucher and she is always at the microchipping days), we're taking the girls over for their 'big needle'(the only way to get a microchip in, which is a big needle as it's about the size of a grain of rice, but at least it means they can be identified if they get lost (which with Ishtar the houdini feline is a distinct possibility, I'm not letting them out until they are desexed, but she bolts out the door every time I open it, and has even learned that when I call Jasper and then head towards the back door it means I'm going to open it so she tries to beat me to the door). Fortunately Jasper seems to have got the idea that we don't want them out yet, so when she does get out he goes out and herds her into a corner til we come and get her (clever dog, but then he is a Border Collie X Kelpie).
I know I have been very slack lately with updating my LJ, things have been busy, plus I have started using Myspace because I've made some good friends there (my Myspace is the same as me on most of the internet except here, it's simonbear7).
We adopted Jasper recently (about a month ago) from the RSPCA (a shelter), he was 6 months old, so he's still a puppy, but he's a BIG puppy (especially after Enki who was so much smaller- and at 3 1/2 more adult). This is Jasper

And one of him up on the bed lying on top of me.

He's a very loving dog, but I'll be glad when he grows up a bit, puppies, even 7 month old ones, are a bit hard to handle.
Anyway, I'd better go and get dressed, or these kittens are never going to get to Beaufort today. Will let you know how it all goes.
Hugs
Simon
