It's another humid morning in Rocky Point, a god forsaken hole of a town (or hamlet since they changed it to try and make it sound better) on the shores of Long Island. Considering my lack of motivation to do anything that involves moving since I feel like I'm breathing in a sauna, I've decided to finally get a LJ again...yes, I've jumped on the bandwagon *shakes fist* Damn you peer pressure!!! Oh well, welcome to my wonderful little corner of the web...or not so wonderful depending on my mood...where you can find updates on my oh so exciting life.
Hmmm, life? That's mainly consisted of trying to find a job, an insane anmount of hours on Mugglenet Interactive, and traveling 60 miles to New York City on this past friday to get my copy of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince...so worth it in my mind *squee*. Yes, I will get that out in the open right now, I am way obssessed with the books...have been ever since Sophmore year of college...so I saw nothing wrong with traveling 2 hours into NYC to get a copy of it. Definately worth it in my mind, seeing as I then proceeded to read it in about 5 hours. And, I plan to re-read it today.
*Thoughts*
Right, so personally I loved the book. It was far darker than even I imagined, and far more intense than previous books. Oh and let's not forget the ANGST...I do love my angst. Definately a more mature book, but hey, the characters are sixteen. I won't even go into what I remember going on in my grade when I was 16...suffice to say it definately wouldn't be suitable for children. I'm still amused by the "fug"...perhaps I've been mistaken all my life and that really is "fug" outside my window right now? *ponders* Oh well, no one's perfect. Surprisingly, the story line came quite close to my general predictions (and yes that includes Dumbledore's death, though the how was a surprise), but remained intriguing the whole way through. Anything that can keep my attention at 6AM after me having been awake for 24 hours automatically goes in my "Amazing" catagory. The rest of my thoughts I'll leave till afer my re-read.
* * *
Right, so now, since MNI is still down till 7AM tomorrow, I think I'm going to go and re-read my HP if I can get up the motivation to cross the room to where it is...the force is broken once more. Perhaps I'll just listen to my Jpop and stare at the wall again. GOD DAMN YOU HUMIDITY!!! Just rain and get it over with...stop tormenting us. WOOT!! and as I have just been reminded, Tsubasa Chronicle has been released once more...time for downloading.
