LJ thing
ok many people have been asking what the code is for background music in your livejournal... well i have broken it down into some easy steps for you..... here they are
1. find the perfect song
2. open it in windows media player
3 make sure it plays then hit, File;Save Media As; Then name the song and at the end put .MIDI
example: backstreetboys.MIDI
4. then create an account on angelfire... Its free fast and easy www.angelfire.com
5 click free membership, make your information, then when its all done there is a nice little welcoming page after ou log in... Click WEB Shell im not sure where its at on that page so you will have to find it.
6. scroll down on that page and click browse and find your song that you just saved
7 upload it by clicking ok...
8. THIS PART TAKES A WHILE!!!!! depending on your internet, DSL for a 4 minute song takes about 5 minutes
9. ok now thats done goto your live journal
10. log in goto Manage; Customize; modify Journal(make sure its on oldsystem)
11. In the overrides put this NOTE!!!( where it says bgsound and infinite" you must add < and > before and after like
LASTN_WEBSITE<=
bgsound src="WEBLINK GOES HERE!!!" autoplay="true" loop="infinite"
<=LASTN_WEBSITE
12. here is the hard part
13. right where it says weblink goes here!!!!! in hte quotes must be changed to your angelfire account with song in it... now it has to all be perfectly capitalized EXACTLY! so i reccomend changing the song name in angelfire by clicking rename in the webshell to something a little more easier like NJ for norma Jean or something..
14. here is an example www.angelfire.com/AK7/DrewGriffithMusic/NJ.midi
THE NJ MJUST BE CAPITALIZED EXACTLY THE WAY YOU RENAMED IT!!!!!!!!
15. Also the AK7 is the prefix you chose when creating an angelfire account.
18. Save changes and your done!
