Goodbye.

She says goodbye,
and he asks her why
She just sighs,
And tears fill his eyes..
She says don't cry
And he says he'll try
Why does it hurt so much to do what is right
Why is this goodbye and not a simple goodnight.
He looks at her
She looks at him as a tear rolls down his cheek
She opens her mouth
but nothing comes out
Its so hard for her to speak.
This is not the way they thought it would end
To leave each others lives
and they can't even be friends.
Goodbye she sighs
Goodnight he replies
because in his heart he knew they'd speak again....
