Well hello all of my fans and stalkers alike its time for a look into my life. Sorry I did not update much last week as i was training and cutting weight and well updateing my livejournal was not on my mind. But here it is an update that you can all jerk of feverishly to.
Well friday ws spent taking tests then going ou to fitworks in willoughby where I dropped 6 pounds in about 2 hours by playing in a sauna with Mike and Jason. Let me just say Sauna + Sauna Suit + Sweat Pants + rounds of light shadow boxing = hell. But I was able to get below 170 pounds and then we made the drive to Columbus. I made weight at 169 and then we went out to dinner. I was assulted with a pickle at dinner that was meant for jason but it was all good in the hood. On the way down Jason mentioned that there may be amaeture cage fights on Nov 12th and that if I didnt get hurt in this tounry that he might get me to fight. Well we went to are hotel room got fantastic four and went to bed. We woke up really early and got to the tourny around 10ish they didnt let the competitors in tile 1100 ish and the tournament started hella late. I spent the day walking around and cheering for my team mates who did very well 1st and 3rd place finishes. Then around 8 ish they called my bracket up. I was really nervous because there was a chance I would get a black belt or a pro fighter the first round because nogi besides having weight classes is completly open in skill. Well I actually got a bye the first round and after more waiting it was finally time for me to go up. Well needless to say the second the bell rang I turned into fighter Aj. Nothing mattered but beating the kid across from me. He was one of Jorge Gurgel fighters from the university of michigan. I stuffed all his takedown attempts and then we ended up on the ground I got my gaurd and went for the sweep. He defened my sweep but then I rolled him. I got side control on him and went for mount pretty shittly and this created a scramble I was able to sink in a trianlge choke and and armbar at the same time. I was able to look into his eyes as he was passing out and saw the pain from getting his arm cranked. Then he tapped. I had just dissmantled a brazilian jui jitsu kid and i rarely trian jui jitsu I am a cage fighter. The next round pinned me up against one of the most accomplished kids in the entire tournament. He is a pro fighter with a 6-2 record and he has many nogi tounry wins. He is also a purple belt in jui jistu(2 below black) and had defeated one of my instructors. Well i went out there and the people who saw the match best described it as a war. He out skilled and out experianced me but i fought with everything I had. But in the end I was down on points and tried something that failed and I got caught in a choke. But i gained a lot of respect from my coahces teammates and competitors. Today jason called me and asked if I wanted to fight nov 12th and i told him yes. He is trying to line a cage fight up for me. I am very excited.
Thank you to Becky, Kursten, Teh johns, Gina, and my dad. They all came out or called me that night to see how i did. hell some of my best friends didnt even care to ask.
Is it wrong that i want gina back more then i want my next breathe. I hope not...
