I agree with Kadaj. There's no reason to look up to a figurehead to just solve every little problem we have. It's why this city is unstable and we're better off being self-reliant. Really, Discedo, the only way things are going to patch up and be at least a little liveable is to stand up, grow a pair, and mature. Only way that's gonna happen is if ( Read more... )

In regards to the police, it has been difficult to organise anything thus far. With so many absences due to members being returned to their homes, I myself have had to join in earnest, where previously I had been merely part of the axillary.

However, the question which needs to be asked is this: if you have a code of justice that you follow, would it take precedence over the guidelines established by the police in regards to conduct?

I would think so. But I've been here for so long, I don't see myself leaving anytime soon.

Guess not. I could easily just go on my own and take care of the ass holes who find it entertaining to kill others, but I figured this would be the best way to go about it.

The other problem as well has been planning around that. But I believe that it was primarily because so many had been called back all at once, and while I do not anticipate that happening again, it would be best to form a plan for such.

The sad truth is that it is so. It will take a concerted, organised effort to control some of these factions, and so a definitive chain of command and set guidelines that must be followed for that to happen.

A past problem of the police has been that there were members who insisted upon enacting justice in their own way, which is ineffective, as we have seen. Moreover, it reflects poorly upon the police, as it seems to the general populace that the police feel they are above the laws that all others must abide by. We hope to correct that.

I'm not all into following other people's guidlines, but what's gotta be done has to be done.

There's no way things are going to be handled with a bunch of police who find it smart to do things their own way and find themselves above the rest. Yeah, I hate doing things in the way someone tells me to, but I'm sick and tired of the murders that keep following one after another here.

In fact, it pisses me off that I'm about to do this, but I know I can help decrease the amount of problems we have.

I'm guessing you're a part of the force.

I would like the input of everyone on the police force, as well as potential members, so that we will be able to form reasonable guidelines that most can agree on. The primary functions of these are to establish a procedure, prevent incidents such as mobs and vigilantism, and hold the force to standards so as to avoid abuse of power.

In a way, I am in the same position as you. I had been a part of the axillary, along with Lady Rosalyn, but have recently joined the main force due to these problems.

Yeah. That makes sense, and it's really the only way things are going to work out in the end.
My input probably goes along the lines of the common-sense crap that any police officer should follow. You know: don't take advantage of your status and don't arrest people who don't deserve to be taken in. Making up rules as you go shouldn't be done either.

Right. Joining a force isn't exactly a "top of the list" kind of priority, but crime here just gets typical and annoying. It's easy to take care of.

I am fairly certain that you have already observed that common sense is in rather short supply. We may have to 'reinvent the wheel' as the saying goes.

We will be calling for a meeting shortly to discuss the future of the force, what needs to be done, and make an attempt to organise things better. Would you be able to attend?

No shit.

Let me know when it is, and I'll probably go.
Still not too keen on following orders, but it's to protect everyone else around me.

Name's Haseo, by the way.
