YOU MUST WRITE ME FIC YOU MUST YOU MUST I AM NOT ABOVE BEGGING

THEY ARE PERFECT OK PERFECT PERFECT AND CREYS IS ME

Like, I LOVE that ES was unable to stand up for herself at school, that her reactions are contextualized; that she's sassy outside when the boys are having their dickfest or whatever and she's inadvertently in a position of some illusory power, but in the school where she knows what the social hierarchy is, and she's seen what could happen re: Joon-young, she just can't stand up against the system. I think I'd be FAR more disappointed if she changed the school's social system through sass, or if she was a Jandi-esque character. I LOVE that she avoids conflict, that she just wants to keep her head low and get the hell through this mess, because she's extremely vulnerable there. I thought her frightened reaction to Young Do calling her or Tan's constant attempts to be with her at school are a lovely beat, it makes the bullying thing all the more real for me than it would have been if she'd just stood up for herself, when she's clearly not in a position to actually do. Which is why the Coffee Shop/School delineation in terms of her behavior REALLY works for me.

CU RY ING all the tears in my body??? OH, THE WAYS YOU UNDERSTAND ME.
