I had to spread this from Facebook to LJ, but today is the starting of "Tell Her She's Beautiful" days. Basically as girls get older, even unfortunately these days... it even starts in elementary school... girls become more self-conscious each and every day. Images of "desirable women" are flooded into the media and at young ages girls are pressured to feel like they have to be a certain weight, height, hair color, etc. to be considered "beautiful." (//cough Korea //cough) But this event is just to tell all the women of the world that you ARE beautiful no matter what. No one needs to all be 5'10'', 100 lbs, and get plastic surgery to be beautiful. I know I sound kind of like a hypocrite in my previous posts from all this dieting and so forth, but I'm doing it in concern for my health, to be a healthier person. Not to be underweight and "glamorous."
