A Hangover To Remember...

Please don't tell my mom.

QSEAC's "Get Leid" Smoker was off the hook! ...although the party altogether was kinda weak (I mean like, 30 people at the club by 2am), I had a blast. What made it very memorable was that I got a chance to party with people that I didn't usually talk to. But it was fun times alright! The only drink that I knew the name to was the first one I had, the second was a "special mix" that the bartender made for myself and my friend, the third was a red drink that my friend got for me, and lastly, another "friend" got me a shot of some sweet stuff (It's called something "kiss").

I ended up waking up at 4am and puking till 9am this morning. Sigh...I'm such an idiot.

So I called my don, and surprise surprise - he's wasn't there, and then decided to call the front desk for an on-call don. She came up with two people from Queen's First Aid, they did my vitals, and suggested that I should go to the hospital. So I cabbed with the don (she's such a sweetheart) to Hotel Dieu (because KGH is always a long wait), and was admitted to the Emerg unit.

The Triage nurse was so shocked to hear that I had drinks with names I didn't even know. I felt so offended because it made me feel even more stupid. I was put in a single room, and the most stern-looking doctor came in to ask about what kind of drinks I had. It was quite an interesting conversation...He actually knew what I was talking about when I described the drinks I had. Then, he left and came back...and with the biggest grin on his face says, "So your diagnosis is...a Hangover". Then he laughed and went on saying, "You know, I don't even think they have a medical term for a hangover...Ha ha!" I think he thought it was funny because I told him I've never gotten one before. He also had the biggest smirk on his face when he asked me if I were Asian... because I told him I usually got "red" after one drink.

Anyhoos, I ended up deciding not to get an IV because I would probably have to stay there for a few hours...and so I'm back at res now, still thinking about the unbelievably odd conversation I had with the resident at the hospital. What a guy. He's so weird.

And yes, I have learned my lesson thank you very much.
