Tour Journal Part 4

St. Louis, Missouri.

Fantastic.

It was really nice to see our friends in Nothing to Nothing again. They are such incredible people and being away from them for the last week was really strange. Last night was like a family reunion of sorts. We are all looking forward to playing another show with them and Fare Thee Well tonight in Springfield, but it will be a bittersweet experience. It's strange how close you can get to people out here on the road...

A little about the show tonight... We played and kids got crazy. Singalongs and lots of movement. Apparently, this is rare in St. Louis, so it was very flattering that kids not only came out and gave us a chance, but cared enough to get into it. There was an overall good vibe surrounding the show. All of our friends in one room, plus a ton of kids who were all down to have a good time. Great night, St. Louis, great night.

In other news, we are all sick (with the exception of Mike) but we're keeping our heads up. The mood in the van is incredible. We are all having so much fun and getting along so well. Inside jokes and good times galore... I wonder if other bands are still having this much fun after being stuck with each other for almost three weeks?

As stoked as I am on this tour and as great as things are going, I'm ready to go home. Let me rephrase that; I'm ready to go home for two days, do laundry then go to Boston for ten days.

A picture from AmVets in Iowa. We all miss Ben Hagarty and his antics.
