MY DOG IS AN EVIL GENIUS

Mar 21, 2008 23:48

This story is about my dog, Snoop:

I know I have told some of you about my dog snoop but for those of you that don't know I will explain. My dog, Snoop, has an addiction to pigs ears. From time to time I like to give one to him and one to my other dog, Crumb, as a treat. Well what he likes to do is hide his pig ear under a pillow or something and steal Crumbs. I have actually witnissed this process once.

I was lying on my bed and I had just given them each a pigs ear. My bed is only two mattresses so I am pretty close to the ground and it is also in the middle of the wall. Well Snoop was on the right side of the bed, on the floor, laying on a bunch of pillow because he is, first and foremost (in his head), royalty. Well I see him tuck his pig ear under a pillow with his nose. Then I see him walk over to Crumb's pigs ear and stare at her for a second. Then he started barking at her and they had a stare down. She and him both walked over to his side of the room, but halfway Snoop turned around while Crumb kept walking. He then grabbed her pigs ear and ran over to his side. This is where I intervened and said 'No Snoop, this is Crumb's pigs ear!' and gave it to Crumb. Then I picked up the pillow that his pigs ear was under and he grabbed it and ran before I could do anything else. All I could do was laugh.

Well yesterday something even funnier happened. I just got home and gave them each a pigs ear. I started cleaning and that took me about ten minutes. I then grabbed the leashes and walked into my bedroom. I see Crumb laying on the floor with her pigs ear on top of her front paws, she wasn't moving. I saw Snoop laying right in front of her like two feet away, not moving. Stare down. I was like 'Oh no, Snoop, that is her pigs ear. Where did you hide it this time?' and continued to search the apartment for this stupid thing. After about five mintues of looking in spots I've seen him eat them in before I saw him go to my closet. My bedroom closet is on both sides of my hallway to my bathroom. I took the closet doors off because they were annoying. One side is just two shelves to hang clothes off of. Another side has a long shelf that takes up one side of the closet, and then a little more sunken in I have like 8 little shelves from bottom to top of the closet. I see him sitting on my bottom shelf (which is actually just the space between the floor and the first shelf). I keep my old purses and bags there. So he is sitting on purses-and-bags mountain. I move him off of it and I take throw the purses every which way. Not only did I find his pigs ear that he was hiding. I found SIX other pigs ears that he has apparently stashed away.

So I realize now that he has been keeping his pigs ears and stealing Crumb's and eating hers. So I took all his pigs ears. I even had to pry one out of his mouth because when I started picking them up he grabbed one and darted out of the room. So then after collecting them I took one and gave it to Crumb. I went to take the trash out and take a walk (about 20 minutes). I came back and he was sitting right at the front of the door like 'uhhh hello, you kinda forgot something'. Crumb eventually finished her pigs ear. So then I went to the kitchen, both of them trailing behind me, and I gave her another one. Snoop by this time was getting pretty upset. He was barking at me, doing all of his cute things that he knows I like, and when I went to sit down at my desk I looked over at him and he was like this:

Which isn't an unusual thing as he does this whenever he wants me to pick him up. I try to get him to stop because it is bad for his back though. But in that circumstance I just couldn't help but laugh so I got up and gave him a pigs ear. He went right in the middle of the living room floor and stayed there until he was done with it. Kinda like he was saying 'See! no tricks! I'm just eating it!'.

So this is why my dog is an evil genius. He has been keeping this stash from me for months and both me and my other dog never even knew about it lol!
