It's coming right for us!!!
I've just started realizing what a hell hole central Pennsylvania is. No wonder half the people are poor as hell, are on welfare or can't pay their bills. Between shipping companies over seas and laying people off, we're fucked. Appleton will be laying some people off, or offering some of the older people packages to take voluntary lay offs. Personally, if I was a year off of retirement, I would take the package. You get two weeks pay for every year you worked there. So if you worked there 30 years, thats 60 weeks payed vacation. Hell yeah I would take the retirement. I mean granted you don't have work anymore, but hell...over a years pay for retiring!? Thats a lot of money at $17-$20 an hour. Anyway, we are worried about what this holds for my mom...she has people under her and hopefully the old assholes retire so they don't have to lay people off. Either way she has plenty of jobs lined up to go to...
On another note, I had an eye appointment this evening. I have to get contacts or glasses. Currently I have contacts and I'm liking them a lot. So I might just stick with contacts...then again I might try to get glasses for when I can't wear contacts (ie during dissections). I'm actually excited about getting contacts and glasses...haha I'm a freak.
I'm out for now...I need to go take out the contacts...well attempt it again. I cannot for the life of me get them the first try...took me a half hour earlier.
