Holiday gifts and an amazing night
I would have posted this sooner but the lack of computer access hindered me. This is about to be a quite mushy post and I will cut details that I assume people wouldn't want to hear. If you do then message me and I'll get back to you on that ^.~.
The best gift I got this year came after Xmas. Derek decided to celebrate new years one night early with a special *surprise* for me. I was still in Tulsa that day and had told him that I wouldn't make it home until 10:30 or 11:00pm but he said that didn't matter. I thought maybe he had bought a new fun video game for us to play or something but it turned out to be so much better. I went from having a long drive and a foul mood due to arguments with my mother to almost crying from happiness when I got home. Derek left a note on the front door telling me to follow the path and "pick them up as I go." I opened the door to white roses (favorite flower) in a path on the floor surrounded by tea candles leading to the bedroom. When I opened the door the room was covered in candlelight and there were roses everywhere and he had set up a table perfectly laid out a spaghetti dinner from the Olive Garden with salad, wine, and a ton of bread sticks. Derek was standing there, all dressed up, wearing his new jacket and beckoning me with his eyes. To me he looked positively sexy (though I know many of you out there might have an image in your head going "eww he's like my goofy kid brother!" lol). It was probably the happiest night of the year for me (even though I thought my birthday couldn't have been topped). After lots of hugging, kissing, great conversation over dinner and I love yous he pulled out some cards and we played strip poker. HEAVY EDITING HERE. Derek would probably insist I mention the words "chair" and "handcuffs" but I have no desire to write details on any of that here. Actually, let's just cut out the rest due to pornographic content ^.^ It was a great night for the both of us.
I just finished reading these two posts within the same subject category and I have to say I agree with what they said. As always, great advice. Derek didn't read those posts because he almost never gets online but it certainly sounds like he might've, huh? lol

New Years was awesome too, and the RG party was a blast. I'm tired of typing and most of you were there so I'm not going to post much else on the subject. I was excited to finally be able to wear my red dress and I can't wait to see pictures of everyone!
