2 Days until Drew comes home.
5 Days until The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus comes out.
5 or so Days until I get my Short Term Advance Money.
8 Days until I return to school.
Who knows how many days until I get my financial aid disbursement!
Somewhere between those days above I'm gonna have to buy my textbooks but for now I'm comparing prices. Let me tell you how much I HATE comparing textbook prices. Why do I hate doing this? Isn't it good to shop around so that you get a good deal? That's the exact problem. There are no good deals.
When you're settled on a price the textbook condition is horrible. And then you have to think about how much money you're going to get when you have to sell it back to them. You pay a hundred dollars for a textbook to get back half (if you're lucky) or less than half.
That's what makes me upset. Take for instance New Edition textbooks. I'm not condoning them. I'm glad we're learning up to date information--that's a good thing. What's not good is that publishers update a textbook with a page or a paragraph of new information and then sell it back to us and we cannot sell the older editions.
Another thing I dislike is the college bookstore. All of the books in there are expensive and the employees follow you around like a vulture. LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE. STOP ASKING ME IF I NEED HELP. HOW HARD IS IT TO FIND A FUCKING TEXTBOOK?! Really!
Here is something more hilarious: The bookstore claims that it gives back 11.5% of every sale made in the store. It helps other student fees cheaper. Then tell me why next year they're raising fees next Fall. I hate college. I should write a trashy novel like Twilight and never have to worry about financial things ever again.
