Important stimulus payout info

Thanks to nockergeek for providing these links.

Did you file your tax return with Turbo Tax? Here is something you will want to be aware of:

If you used TT's "refund transfer" option to pay for your processing fees out of your tax return, your stimulus check will come to you by mail, regardless of whether you chose to have your actual tax -return- direct deposited to your bank.

Reason being, the refund transfer utilizes a third party bank to deduct the fees from your total return, and give it to TT. The IRS does not, in fact, receive your bank information in this case, which means the IRS has to mail your stimulus check to you.

If you paid for your processing fee using another method, such as credit card, you're fine. Your payout will direct deposit as per your request.
