Ironic spam comment of the day
I simply can’t believe how many people post spam on websites, specially personal blogs just for the interest of some link juice. I need to stay alert all day even with fantastic plugins like Akismet. I don’t want to imagine what would happen to my sites if I didn’t had this kind of protection. Get a solid job spammers!
Caught by Akismet, thank you. I find that most spam-in-disguise comments are googleable. Had one the other day with the format, "Just thought I'd let you know, I'm running [browser] on [OS] and your site is a bit flaky for me." They'd been all over the blogosphere, changing those two elements. Really?
I got one pretty random comment today that I let through because he linked back to an actual blog, which has been updated for the first time in months. The comments on his latest post make it clear that he commented on a ton of random blogs all at once. I have no problem with that, but the part I find odd is the lapse in posting. Who knows what that's all about.
