you should read his collection of short stories called "welcome to the monkey house"... its amazing.
cat's cradle is one of my favorites.

Man, I really hated Cat's Cradle! I wanted to like it, but I didn't. Maybe it was because I was reading it at night while working at a summer camp...maybe the vibe wasn't right...
