Last night was the best night I ever had! As everyone probably has read or not read, I went to the Alexisonfire concert with Natalie. I hope to God everyone has time to read because this is a loooong story for such a short night lol!
Nat's dad drove us to Toronto and we got there about 5:45 and we were sitting in this parking lot waiting for her dad to get a ticket and it took him awhile, which was funny because Nat was like, "let me do it!" So she did and it took her one try, it was funny though. While we were waiting in the parking lot, we met a couple people that were going to the concert, and one of them had a signifigance to my story, but I'll tell you later.
Nat and I were starving so we walked down with her dad to this loblaws which was HUGE and had these really cool escalators in them, but they weren't stairs, they we like something you would see in an airport. So we got some food and we sat down and these people that we met in the parking lot were in there eating as well. Nats dad said something to them about the concert and the one girl was like, "Yeah we're going tonight, my son Spencer, is in the band Attack In Black!" It through me off guard because she looked like she was maybe 35.
After we left the store we walked down to the Kool Haus and the line up was like twice as long than it was 20 minutes before so we were like, shit this sucks! There was some pretty wierd people infront of us,but it was funny because this guy got out of car, and the guy infront of me was like, EMIIIIILIOOOO! (Night at the Roxburies) We pretty much froze our asses off for 20 mintes coz that's how long it took us to get inside which was pretty good considering we were on the other side of the building when we got in line!
Oh and the one bouncer was walking down the side-walk and told us we couldn't use our cameras which pissed me off because I bought one and I really wanted to take pictures-not that the pictures would have been great anyway.
We got inside and the line-up to the coat check was fucking long, we would have waited forever so we just through them in our bags and found what I thought was a great spot to stand because it was really really close to the stage. We waited for like 40 minutes til Attack In Black came on and they were pretty good, I wouldn't buy their Cd, if they put one out, but they were ok. And than the last song, the one guy was like, "well, its a special night tonight because, its our last night and because, my moms here and it was the Spencer kid that the girl was talking about in Loblaws so that was pretty cool!
After they got off the stage the crowd got soooo squished, we cudn't even move at all! Everyone was getting all pissed off , including me coz these bitches came in were all like, "We were standing in the back so now its your turn to go to the back!"Than the other girl was bitching at her...it was funny lol! I had a bad feeling something was going to happen and I soooo right! The Cancer Bats came on and within like 30 seconds a mosh pit started and Nat and I were right in the middle! I thought I was going to die for sure, everyone was like pushing everyone and than I was trying to get out and some girl swung around and punched me in the jaw so hard, that I have like permanent lock jaw righ now, it fucking hurts to talk or eat, and its bruised. So, as I was getting pushed and around and trying to push everyone else out my way, while attempting to keep my balance, I was slowly getting pushed out of the mosh. It was fucking insane! And because I'm sure everyones laughing at this point, this was my first mosh pit I've ever been in, so laugh all you want, coz I am lol!
I felt so bad for Nat coz she's so small and I kept losing her throughout the night. It was so fun though! Alexisonfire were amazing, they sound exactly like they do on their CD's except a million times better and of course Dallas Green is just as hot if not more, in person than he is on T.V. About their 2nd song Nat and I got seperated because the whole concert was a giant orgy from front to back. There was no way of escaping it, you were in it and you just hoped to God you didnt fall coz once you're down...you're down! This one girl was trying to body surf and they let her fall on her head lol! I laughed but at the same time I felt bad coz everyone was kicking and like head banging and all that shit.
This one guy beside me was looking at me and I looked at him and than he started to head bang while still looking at me so I looked away because it was awkward. I was trying to look for Nat and the guy was like following me, so I was creeped out and I thought he was going to mug me or something because I had my bag with me. Than at the end of the show we were leaving and he was like, "Can I talk to you outside?" I was like,"Dude I have a 2 and a half hour car ride so I have no time and besides I'm looking for my friend!" He was trying to convince me that it was only going to be a minute and I was just thinking to myself, this guy is fucked in the head. Maybe he was just trying to be nice but I wasn't taking any chances. You always hear about girls getting raped or like stabbed or really bad stuff happening to them because guys convince them to talk to them outside away from everyone else. Why couldn't he have just talked to me in the concert. Fucking wierd people in this world, I say!
There was these other two guys behind me and Nat and the one guy was like, "I say we jump these people!" And he was looking at me and I was like, "Ok please, don't jump me, you can do it to anyone else, just not me or her lol!" And they both started to laugh so me and Nat moved.
There was soooo many people smoking pot too. I couldn't beleive it! They were just smoking joints in the crowd. I'm sure that's what its like at every concert, expect for the All-American Rejects concert.
It was an awesome night though. I would do again for sure, and if they ever come back to Toronto, I would definatly go and see them again!
I'm so sore right now. My arms hurt, my toes are sore, my cheek is bruised and sore and I'm def in my left ear right now! So I'm going to call it a concert hang-over!
