i would have to say that this week has been utterly lonely, even though there are people all around me....
my grandparents ((Rosalie and Bob)) came in from Ohio this past weekend for our annual 4th of july get together. my grandpa was sick so all they did was sit around, and when he did feel good he, my dad, my grandma, and my brother went and played golf. I sat that one out. they came down friday and left tuesday morning. it was a very uneventful time and we couldn't have a cookout due to the weather. it was pretty boring.
on the 30th of june my nanny and papa left for a month long trip to Alaska, which dumped a job into my lap. i really like what i do. i pretty much handle all of the money for my dad's business. i also have to answer the phone and wait on customers when the other workers are busy. i only work from 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. but i am busy the whole time i am out there, and i get what needs to be done, done. i really like it. not to mention my dad is at the next desk. haha. dont get me wrong though, i take what i do seriously, because one little screw up could send the business plumiting into a wirlwind of financial disaster. i started work the monday after school got out, and i have to work through the first week of august (as of now). i am glad i only work 4 hours a day because that way i dont have to work away my summer, but at the same time i have money in my pocket. this is a good learning experience for me, but to tell you the truth...the things i do at work are probably more complex than any other job that i could have been hired to do at my age, and i like the challenge!
dm left for the beach this past saturday, and i miss him.......a lot..((thank goodness he'll be back in three more days!)) my mom has kept me company in his absence and i thank her for that <3
