I apologize for not answering you MySpace questions about VW's. It stands for virtual worlds and I'm still trying to think of a good way of explaining it. The most popular I've seen so far is "Second Life" but there are others. Some consider Sims Online to be a VW.
It's basically a 'real' society functioning within a game. Real people are playing the game, and even go as far as spending real money for their characters to get them houses and clothes. VW's can be used to sell and advertise products, for actual gaming, education, so on and so forth. Universitites are now holding classes in "second life" because it's cheaper for the university than for a regular online class. The students go to class as their characters when the class is actually being held, and they can still get credit. ISU has bought acerage on 'second life' so that they too can begin teaching courses.
Anyways... there's a lot to it, and VW's have disadvantages and advantages. It's like internet on steroids. I think that vw's are good in theory and can be used in many many good ways.

There was an incident of a character getting raped in a vw, and she called the police and they helped track down the people that actually did it and they got charged as if they had really raped her.
I don't see why she didn't just shut her computer off, but...
