You have stolen my heart

Summer romances are suppose to live forever.  The warmth of the sun, the sound, the hiss and crash of the water into the shore are suppose to cement those feelings, that bliss so - despite the nip in the air, the transition of the warm sun into a cold one - things are suppose to remain intact.  When the leaves on the trees turn to a ( Read more... )

I really like your creative writing posts.

This one has an urgency to it-- it pulled me through the whole post. I kept reading faster, wanting to see what was next.

Thanks.

(reminds me of Are You Out There? by Dar Williams; that song's the same way-- that same half-breathless urgency...)

Oh! Thank you! I am glad you do, sometimes I am not sure how people react to them.

I know that feeling of urgency too, I've experienced that in a couple of pieces - the flow of the writing gets so fast, and so needy that you have to keep going, reading faster then your eyes can even move.

I've never heard of the song, but I can imagine what it's like - thanks for commenting, I am really glad you liked the piece :)

Remember that piece of mine where you said "Wow, that was beautiful, now I'm going to go hang myself?"

Insert that here.

I said that? Yeah, I think I did - so beautiful, and yet depressing: Stendhal syndrome.

Thanks, Mina :)

Being the English major simply means I know how to write a really good paper full of BS without actually having read the required reading. I can write fiction (I hope), but elegance is not something I've mastered at all. You have.

Oh don't say such things, you write beautifully, full of imagery and elegance, and I've told you so before. I just get an idea and start stringing adjectives together, sometimes I get lucky. You can write fiction, and you write it well, don't say otherwise!
