Loved this entry, Shawn! Sounds like you had an amazing time at camp. I hear you, brother; I've been having a rough time, too, as indicated by all my depressing, pity-me LJ entries. However, I've never been in a better place spiritually. For my birthday I received lots of new Christian books, including Chicken Soup for the Christian Woman's Soul, My Utmost for His Highest, and Jesus Freaks (a really interesting-sounding book about Christian martyrs of yesterday and today). I've really been dependent on Jesus to lead me through everything, and just yesterday I gave up everything to Him, trusting Him that He would bring me through it.

Sorry I didn't get to John's house much. My job took up a lot of my time. I haven't been to the Treehouse nearly as often as I would have liked. I didn't even get to see Paris and Joe because of our crazy schedules. But, we must persist in His name.

I'm sorry we didn't hang out more, but the times we did were rad and you know it. Thanks for being a role model for me and for always having just the right Scripture for the situation.

PS -- I received the info from Paris and Joe about OC Weekend a while ago, but I have marching band that weekend, and since it's early in the season it'd be like impossible to get out of it.

Send me details for Keswick, though, when it happens in January. I'll be off most of the month.
