I shave my head. I am not sure how much money I have saved but it is awfully convenient. I highly recommend it.
Take it from a guy who has quit smoking twice and been through chemo (yes I shamelessly played the C bomb card). You don't want to start smoking anything, especially not to relieve stress. Nicotine is a stimulant, the feeling of relaxation comes from the smoke and tar depriving you of oxygen.
But your big C wasn't lung cancer. And honestly I was more shocked that my Mom didn't really freak out about my interest. With my family history I think I'm going to get some type of cancer whether I smoke or not.
True, my C was not in the lungs but the treatment is all shades of the same crap; poison, lasers and surgery. I don't wish it on anyone. It is a bit surprising that she did not voice a stronger opinion, she may have been taken off guard. I know I am a bit surprised by you taking an interest in smoking.
As for the meatloaf cupcakes, yeah they turned out awesome. The mashed potatoes I used for the "frosting" were like the ones you used to make that was almost like a pierogi filling. so good :)
Mom was OK with it. Dad used to have a cigar now and then. Everything I've read about cigar smoking indicates that you're not supposed to inhale the smoke, just taste it. Meh... I'll probably find something else anyway.
